What is it and what is it used for?
Euthyrox contains the synthetic thyroid hormone levothyroxine, which is completely identical to the hormone produced by the thyroid gland. Euthyrox is used in various forms of hypothyroidism supplementing the missing hormone. In hyperthyroidism Euthyrox may be taken together with an agent to inhibit thyroid function (Thyreostatikum) to ensure a more stable metabolism.
