What is Ventolin?
Ventolin widens shortly airways. The drug consists of a powder which is taken through an inhaler. The active ingredient Salbutamol relieves spasms of the airways. This decrease the symptoms, such as breathlessness, the tightness in the chest or wheezing.
What is this medicine used for?
Ventolin is for breathing problems caused by other respiratory diseases using the result of an asthma attack, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) or. These symptoms can vary from a shortness of breath or tightness in the chest, to a whistling or beeping breathing.
Ventolin ensures that the muscles relax the airway walls. This breathing is easier again. This medicine may be used also to prevent respiratory problems, such as allergies or asthma voltage.
How Ventolin is applied?
Ventolin is available, among other things as an inhaler in combination with a discus.
The inhaler of Ventolin atomizes a dose of powder in the oral cavity. Shake the inhaler before use and make sure that you also inhale while pressing the inhaler. The powder passes thereby directly into the lungs. Hold for a few seconds after the air on. To prevent you exhale the drug directly again. Wait before you inhale a possible second dose about half a minute.
In Ventolin Diskus, the powder is first collected by actuating the mechanism in the mouthpiece before then inhale the powder. Hold the breath for a few seconds to prevent exhaling the drug directly again.

dosage
Ventolin is for the case that the physician does not require other dosage to dose as follows:
Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 inhalations a 100 mcg (or 1 inhalation a 200 mcg) daily. Do not take more than 800 mcg per application to be.
For children are under 12 years old, the doctor will adjust the dosage accordingly. Do not deviate from this dosage recommendation and read through carefully before use the leaflet through.
side effects
They may possibly suffer side effects such as e.g., by the application of Ventolin .:
Palpitations;
A headache;
Shaky hands;
Hyperactivity (in children).
Consult your physician if you suffer from severe side effects or side effects such experience that are not listed in the package insert with.
When should you not take this medicine?
Ventolin is not for everyone. Do not use this medicine if you have:
Hypersensitive response to salbutamol or on one of the other substances contained in the medicament.
Discuss with your doctor whether you can use Ventolin if you are suffering from physical ailments such as Diabetes, heart or blood vessel disease or thyroid problems.
Ventolin can create interactions with other drugs, such as with beta-blockers and tablets to promote the urge to urinate. Type in your order what medications you are taking so that the doctor can take this into account. Please refer to the package insert more on this subject.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should take Ventolin only on medical advice.
