1 g cream contains 0.25 mg of beclomethasone dipropionate (0.025%).
The other ingredients (excipients) are: cetyl alcohol, stearyl,
Propylene glycol, root extract Althaea officinalis, liquid paraffin, paraffin filante,
Benzyl alcohol, stearic acid, cetomacrogol 700, sorbitol and water.
What's Menaderm Simple cream and how it is applied
Menaderm Simple cream is used in adults and children over 5 years.
It is an anti-inflammatory drug that is used on the skin. It reduces inflammation, allergic skin reactions, redness, symptoms such as itching, burning and pain.
Furthermore, it is applied to:
Acute forms of inflammatory skin diseases (dermatitis) caused by skin contact and subsequent allergic reaction (contact dermatitis).
Eczema related to patient factors, such as atopic dermatitis or eczema.
Rash with inflammation and scaling (seborrheic dermatitis).
Psoriasis.
When should you not use Menaderm Simpla cream
If you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
If you suffer from tuberculosis, syphilis or viral infections (herpes or chickenpox) if you suffer from chronic inflammation with redness of the skin around the nose and cheeks.
When swelling around the mouth (perioral dermatitis), ulcers.
In areas of the skin that have a vaccine reaction, that is, redness or inflammation after vaccination.
Do not use in the eye area and not on open wounds.
Not with bacterial or fungal diseases.
Take special care when applying Menaderm Simple Cream
This drug should be used in low doses as possible, especially in children, and only for the time strictly necessary to treat the skin condition.
The membranes should be protected from Menaderm Simple cream (for example, oral or genital area, where the absorption would be much higher).
If the medicine in the areas of skin folds (z. B. armpits) apply, you must be very careful, because it can increase its inclusion in the body.
Adults should only apply the medicine 1-2 times daily. In general, the treatment should not exceed two weeks. When the drug is used in the facial area, the treatment should be as short as possible.
Use in children
Do not use in children under 5 years.
In children it is more likely that the active ingredient is absorbed more by the skin, which can have negative effects on other body areas.
Menaderm Simple cream should be gentle and applied thinly to the affected areas, preferably after washing.
Taking other medicines
No interactions with Menaderm Simple cream and other medicines are known.
pregnancy and breast feeding period
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
As a general rule, during the first trimester of pregnancy any medication containing the active substance beclomethasone should be applied.
Menaderm Simple cream should not be used during pregnancy or lactation. If your doctor considers it necessary, should clear the benefits will assess against the risks. Pregnant women, or women planning a pregnancy, or breast-feeding should not Menaderm Simple cream over large areas or over long periods of use.
Menaderm Simple cream not use during lactation.
Driving and using machines
Menaderm Simple cream does not affect the ability to drive or operate vehicles and machinery.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Menaderm Simple Cream
This medicine may cause local skin reactions because it contains cetyl alcohol and stearyl. This medicine may cause skin irritation because it contains propylene glycol.
possible side effects
Like all medicines, Menaderm Simple cream can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In total there are side effects both local and temporary, but more often when extensive or prolonged use, have been treated with bandages or occlusive materials.
When applying Menaderm Simple cream on the skin, the following effects have been reported, the frequency is not known:
• thinning of the skin (atrophy)
• marks, dry skin
• itching or burning
• redness (erythema)
• Red stain
• inflammation of hair follicles (folliculitis)
• A state of the skin around the mouth (perioral dermatitis)
• allergic skin reactions (contact dermatitis)
• infections
• side effects can occur not only in the treated area, but also in all other areas of the body, what happens if the drug passes through the skin into the body. This may for example increase the pressure in the eye (glaucoma) or elevated blood pressure, fluid retention (edema), abnormal thyroid (hyperthyroidism), increased sugar levels in blood and urine (hyperglycemia and glucosuria).
If any of the side effects get serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
How should you keep Menaderm Simple cream?
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Not after the expiry date on the carton. The expiry date is the last day of the month.
There are no special storage conditions.
