What is it and how is it used?
Cardyl Atorvastatin belongs to a group of medicines known as statins and regulate blood fats (lipids).Cardyl Atorvastatin is used to reduce the blood fats called cholesterol or triglycerides, if a low fat diet and a change in lifestyle alone are not enough. If you experience an increased risk of heart disease, Atorvastatin can also be applied to reduce such a risk with normal cholesterol levels. During treatment, the conventional cholesterol-lowering diet should be continued.

How is it used?
Your doctor will change before the start of treatment on a low-cholesterol diet, which you should retain during treatment with atorvastatin.The usual starting dose of atorvastatin in adults and children aged 10 years is 10 mg once daily. What are possible side effects?

Each tablet contains 10 mg atorvastatin (as atorvastatin calcium (trihydrate)). Each tablet contains 20 mg atorvastatin (as atorvastatin calcium (trihydrate)). Each tablet contains 40 mg atorvastatin (as atorvastatin calcium (trihydrate)). Each tablet contains 80 mg atorvastatin (as atorvastatin calcium (trihydrate)).
The other ingredients are calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, polysorbate 80, hydroxypropyl cellulose and magnesium stearate.
The film coating of Cardyl atorvastatin contains hypromellose, Macrogol 8000, titanium dioxide (E 171), talc, simethicone emulsion with simethicone, stearate emulsifiers (polyethylene glycol sorbitan tristearate, Polyethoxylatstearat, glycerides), thickeners (methylcellulose, xanthan gum), benzoic acid, sorbic acid and sulfuric acid.
