Active ingredient: Doxepin

Doxepin is a drug from the group of tricyclic antidepressants and is used in addition to its use as an antidepressant in the addiction treatment, especially in opiate addicts.

characteristics
Doxepin affects primarily highly absorbent and is therefore often used in addition to the improvement in sentiment for sedation.

Doxepin affects the central nervous system as an inhibitor of monoamine reuptake from the synaptic cleft into presynaptic vesicles, also anticholinergic, antihistaminic and adrenolytisch (the action of adrenaline picking). Doxepin is approved for the treatment of anxiety and depression at:

    Anxiety disorder (with or without somatic symptoms), reactive depression, depressive anxiety, alcoholism;

    depressive phases of manic-depressive reactions;
    Post partum depression and age depression (Involutionsdepression);
    (Slight) withdrawal symptoms associated with alcohol, drug or drug addiction.

unwanted effects
Doxepin has especially anticholinergic side effects (dry mouth, hypotension and tachycardia, mydriasis and accommodation disturbances, gastrointestinal problems and micturition disorders).
